Oahu grocery shoppers want to see more locally grown food in stores, and they are willing to pay more to get it, according to a new survey from the Ulupono Initiative.

Hawaii consumers currently spend about 8 percent of their food budget on locally grown food, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The rest is spent on food that is imported from the Mainland or elsewhere.
