Tom Berg‘s rough week isn’t over yet.

The allegations of a drunken argument with the Secret Service during APEC and subsequent demand from a Honolulu City Council colleague that Berg lose his voting privileges have given way to a new round of heartburn.

First, former chief of staff Eric Ryan is stepping up his attack against Berg with the launch of ImpeachBerg.com. The mind behind KymPineIsACrook.com wants to get 1,000 signatures on a petition he’ll be rolling out Monday.

Second, former Hawaii Rep. Alex Santiago has announced that he’s mounting a campaign to take Berg’s seat.

“I think it is safe to say that I have not been satisfied with the type of representation we’ve been having,” Santiago said in a story published by Hawaii News Now 4:30 p.m. Saturday. “It’s not just a matter of style. It’s a matter of effectiveness, having passion and knowing how to direct that.”
