The Washington Post had an interesting article about the ethics of free food on Capitol Hill. Members of Congress can’t accept free meals, but the definition of a “meal” can be blurry.

A lawmaker can’t accept a hot dog, for example, but eating several of the hot dog’s smaller relative — pigs in a blanket — is just fine.

As one Washington-based caterer put it: “Mini is in.”
