Boston-based First Wind, Hawaii’s main wind energy developer, is offering scholarships to high-school seniors, Smart Grid News reports.
As part of the 2012 program, as many as 15 one-time awards will be granted to students within host communities in Hawaii, Maine, New York, Utah, Vermont, Washington and the company’s home state of Massachusetts.
The one-time scholarships are worth $3,000. An additional scholarship will be awarded for $5,000 for up to four years.
