Volunteers for AARP Hawaii, unmistakable in their red T-shirts, are combing the halls of the state Capitol today (Thursday).
They have three agenda items they are pressing upon lawmakers:
• Heed the recommendation of a recent long-term care report that shows Hawaii’s senior population is rapidly growing and needs help;
• expand the nonprofit Kupuna Care program; and
• give greater support to the state’s Aging and Disability Resource Center.
