Abercrombie Sent Letter To HSTA President

Gov. Abercrombie says he sent a letter to HSTA President Wil Okabe this morning asking the union to submit a counterproposal to the one teachers rejected last night.

He also says the old “last, best and final” offer remains in effect until further notice, and doesn’t seem concerned about Race to the Top. He tells reporters that the Race to the Top assurances don’t need to be negotiated.
