Yesterday, we told you about Transportation Services Director Wayne Yoshioka‘s request that the Honolulu City Council change the ordinance that requires “notice of amended traffic control device schedules” be published in a “newspaper of general circulation.”

Instead of being printed in the Honolulu Star-Advertiser at a hefty cost to taxpayers, Yoshioka said, the legal ads should only be posted on the city’s website.

The Council have heard Yoshioka’s plea and have turned his request into a bill, the second one introduced this year. That’s hardly a surprise, but perhaps worth noting.

We’ll continue to track the bill as it advances.
