Solomon has also introduced SB 2980, which would create a Hawaii Internet lottery with some proceeds going to public schools and the University of Hawaii, watershed protection and support for programs that reduce and prevent problem gambling.

SB 2893, meanwhile, has 10 co-introducers, including Majority Leader Brickwood Galuteria. Here’s what it would do:
Establishes a gambling task force to perform a comprehensive social and financial analysis of the different types of gambling and their impact on the State in order for legislators to make informed policy decisions.
