Former Acting Mayor Kirk Caldwell has just filed his disclosure form with the Campaign Spending Commission. As he told Inside Honolulu yesterday, Caldwell raised about $72,000 in the second half of 2011.

The actual number is $72,860, and his actual claim was that all the receipts were in the last six weeks of the year. That’s pretty close, because all but $1,150 came on or after Nov. 15, according to the list of contributions.

Gateside Inc. President Stanley SatoIronworkers For Better Governement and Los Angeles resident Jason Grosfeld donated the maximum of $4,000 apiece.

Caldwell spent $9,500 in the period. The big-ticket items were $4,000 for polling services and $5,300 for a fundraiser at Michel’s at the Colony Surf.

Caldwell will be available this afternoon to take questions from reporters. We’ll have more then.
