U.S. Senate candidate Ed Case says the No. 1 thing he hears from Hawaii residents as he canvasses the state is that they are “absolutely disgusted” with the inability of Washington “to tackle our problems.”

Case, a moderate Democrat, said the complaint “transcends” all voter groups and tracks exactly with recent Civil Beat polling that shows voters think money and special interests have way too much influence in D.C.

Case said Hawaii voters are also not concerned with just “parochial” issues but also pay a great deal of attention to major national issues.
