Honolulu City Council Members have introduced a resolution urging the city to develop a contingency plan for debris from the Japanese tsunami that is expected to wash up on Hawaii shores.

Civil Beat reported on the lack of a cleanup plan for the debris back in November. 

U.S. Sen. Daniel Inouye inserted $1 million into an appropriations last year to support efforts.
