Managing Director Doug Chin is taking a trip. To Boston. In January.
It’s not a tropical getaway by any stretch of the imagination, but the travel has a purpose. Chin was invited by Harvard University‘s Ash Institute for Democratic Governance and Innovation to participate in a meeting Jan. 26-28.
Harvard will pay for all expenses, according to a memo from Mayor Peter Carlisle to the Honolulu City Council. The Committee on Executive Matters and Legal Affairs will take up the matter on Tuesday.
