Honolulu’s East-West Center is getting $970,000 in grant money. The funds, from the State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, will support two scholarship programs over a five-year period.
The programs are designed to help develop a group of leaders who will contribute to political and social development in their home countries, according to a statement from the center.
