The Honolulu Fire Department (HFD) has placed a new engine company in service. Engine 43 will respond 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and be housed in two portable trailers at the East Kapolei Fire Station’s construction site while the new fire station is being built.
“Placing Engine 43 in service is the first phase in providing additional services for the fast growing East Kapolei area,” said Fire Chief Kenneth Silva. “As construction progresses and logistics allow, we will add more resources and conduct additional activities to benefit the community,” said Silva.
