honolulu-politics:

One leftover note from the Honolulu City Council meeting today.

Bill 59, which would extend the amount of time food vendors can park on city streets, passed on first reading.

A food vendor and an advocate for that industry were among those to testify in support of the measure, which would extend the 15-minute limit that an “itinerant vendor, peddler or huckster” can be on the street to two hours or more, depending on how the Council plays with the language of the law.

The bill will now head to committee for further work.
