Hawaii Lawmakers Seek Info on Budget, Economy

The legislative money committees — Senate Ways & Means, House Finance — are holding a joint meeting at 11 a.m. to discuss the governor’s proposed budget, the latest Council on Revenues forecast, and the economy in general.

They’ve asked the following people to make presentations:

  • Budget Director Kalbert Young
  • Council on Revenues Chair Rick Kahle
  • UHERO Executive Director Carl Bonham
  • DBEDT Economist Eugene Tian
  • Economist Paul Brewbaker
