Hee Fundraiser At Soul de Cuba

State Sen. Clayton Hee will ask for a suggested donation of $100 at a fundraising event from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday at the downtown eatery.

Hee is raising money for re-election, but one wonders why he needs all the kala. His last campaign spending report shows he had $310,000 in cash on hand as of June 30, 2011.

Maybe Hee has his eye on another, far more expensive race — say, Honolulu mayor.
