Don Horner joined Honolulu Mayor Peter Carlisle for his meeting with Federal Transit Administration Administrator Peter Rogoff on Wednesday. Horner chairs the Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation‘s Finance Committee, and Carlisle told DC808 that he asked Horner to travel to Washington for the meeting.

The three met privately for nearly an hour and a half, and discussed ways to strengthen aspects of the Honolulu rail project’s financial plan. Carlisle and Horner both told DC808 that the main takeaway from the meeting was that Honolulu’s rail project is “on track.” Check Civil Beat later for the full story.
