Sen. Daniel Inouye is traveling to Tunisia, Jordan, Israel and Italy to meet with government and military leaders in those countries.
Inouye already knows some of the key leaders from the regions. In October, Inouye hosted Tunisia Prime Minister Beji Caid el-Sebsi in one of the senator’s Capitol Hill offices.
Joining Inouye in the traveling congressional delegation will be Sens. Thad Cochran, R-Miss., and Barbara Mikulski, D-Md. Inouye is scheduled to depart on Thursday and to return to the United States on Jan. 15.
