Sen. Daniel Inouye told Politico that U.S. military aid to Egypt is “prudent and necessary,” the news organization reported on Friday.
The senator’s remarks came amid a no-fly order that’s preventing about half a dozen U.S. citizens from leaving Egypt. One of those citizens is the son of U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood.
