A Hawaii high schooler is already making a name for herself in the science field.

Danielle Lyn Keahi of Kamehameha Secondary School will receive $1,000 for herself and $1,000 for her school for being named today as one of 300 semifinalists in the Intel Science Talent Search. There were more than 1,800 applicants.

Keahi’s project is called, “Characterization of Cerebellar Phenotype in Mice with Mutated Rreb.”
