Diabetes, along with digestive and kidney disease, are leading killers of island residents. Now community members and students at the John A. Burns School of Medicine get to hear firsthand about the latest research and treatments for those diseases.

Dr. Griffin Rodgers, the director for the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, will provide a free lecture at 1 p.m. this Thursday, Jan. 12 in JABSOM’s auditorium.
