One example: The university’s new financial management system, to go into operation this July, comes free to UH, said VP for Information Technology David Lassner.
“When I say free, think free puppies, not free beer,” he told senators. “There is a cost to free puppies.”
“There’s a cost to free beer, too,” observed Ways and Means Chairman David Ige, at which the 30-something people here burst into hearty laughter.
