Mayor Carlisle attended the U.S. Conference of Mayors 80th Winter Meeting last week in Washington D.C. to discuss job creation, economic development, visa waivers for visiting tourists and other subjects with mayors from throughout the nation.
Carlisle also met in Washington with Federal Transit Administrator Peter Rogoff to discuss the continued progress of Honolulu’s rail transit project.
On the way to Washington, the mayor met in Los Angeles with studio executives and film industry decision-makers to promote Oahu as a premiere location for film and television production.
