We heard rumors that today would be the day, and now it appears to be official.

Former Hawaii Sen. Ron Menor is running for the soon-to-be-vacant District 9 seat on the Honolulu City Council, according to KHON. Nestor Garcia is term-limited and cannot run for re-election.
