Ever since the so-called “stored property ordinance” passed back in December, we’ve been wondering when it would be used to dismantle the Occupy Honolulu encampment at the corner of Ward and Beretania.

First, the city redefined the boundaries of Thomas Square Park and told protesters to stay on the sidewalks. Is Monday the day that the sidewalks become off-limits too?

Another round of enforcement is about to hit Occupy Honolulu protestors at Thomas Square this week following the first week of the sidewalk property ban.

Last month, police and parks workers enforced new rules that allow them to seize items left behind, and they evicted the group.

They’ll be back on Monday to do the same for protestors who have returned.
