The report is due to Chancellor Virginia Hinshaw by the end of this month, and will help shape the campus’s overall goals.
Goals include creating a permanent Vice Chancellor for Native Hawaiian Affairs position, and bringing the number of Native Hawaiians on the faculty and staff up to 25 percent (which is on par with the statewide Native Hawaiian population, the report states).
The task force is encouraging feedback via an online survey, which will close on Monday, Jan. 9. You have to have a UH username and password to participate in the survey, though.
