Council member Nestor Garcia is off-island today and won’t be here for the first full Honolulu City Council meeting of the year. Chair Ernie Martin said Garcia told his colleagues in a letter of his planned absence.

Garcia was seen at Honolulu Hale Tuesday afternoon. There’s no immediate indication of what Garcia’s travel plans include. The city’s docushare system does not yet have Garcia’s memo to his colleagues available for the public.
