President Barack Obama is pushing for “insourcing” American jobs, and is hosting a Wednesday forum to discuss how to bring jobs back to the U.S.

The event is part of the Obama administration’s larger “insourcing” initiative, which will include a proposal to eliminate tax advantages for companies that move jobs overseas, the White House said.

“Today I am meeting with companies choosing to invest in the one country with the most productive workers, best universities, and most creative and innovative entrepreneurs in the world: the United States of America,” Obama said in prepared remarks for the forum. “That’s exactly the kind of commitment to country we need – especially now, at this make-or-break moment for the middle class.”
