As voters participate in Iowa caucuses on Tuesday night, President Barack Obama addressed caucus-goers via video conference from Washington.

A woman in Coralville, Iowa, asked Obama if he still believes in “hope and change” in America, according to a pool report.

The president’s reply: “In some ways, I’m actually more optimistic now than when I first ran. We’ve already seen change take place. 2012 is about reminding the American people how far we’ve traveled.”
