The Purchasing Division has, for the first time, earned certification and an Outstanding Agency Accreditation Achievement Award from the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing “in recognition of its demonstrated excellence in public procurement through the accomplishment of rigorous standards and best practices.”
Of the Institute’s more than 2,000 government agency members, only 115 have achieved this distinction.
“This accreditation award is well deserved and reflects the strong leadership and hard work by each individual in the Purchasing Division,” Carlisle said.
In presenting the honor, the Institute said, “The certification and the achievement it represents bring credibility and recognition to your entity – an accomplishment that should be highly regarded by your elected officials and the citizenry that you serve.”
