Superintendent Kathryn Matayoshi kicks off a Race to the Top briefing today by telling lawmakers that while the U.S. Department of Education recognizes the progress Hawaii has made on its education reforms the last six months, it’s “not enough.”

She tells them “it’s not anybody’s fault, per se,” and says U.S. DOE has given the state a little more time to make further progress before federal officials visit.
