The House Labor and Public Employment is meeting in Conference Room 309 to discuss an agenda that includes a bill that would increase the minimum wage to $7.75 this year and to $8.25 next year.
If the bill passes this session, the state would see its first minimum wage increase since 2007, when the hourly minimum was set at $7.25, according to the AP.
