Hawaii County Mayor Billy Kenoi has been posting to Facebook photos of his trip to Washington, D.C., for the U.S. Conference of Mayors. Here’s one of Kenoi with Federal Communication Commission Chairman Julius Genachowski.

Kenoi said in a Facebook post that he discussed rural broadband policy with the chairman. The mayor also said he attended a private reception that President Barack Obama hosted for the mayors on Wednesday night.

The conference resumes in downtown Washington on Thursday. Also in attendance is Honolulu Mayor Peter Carlisle.
