Treasury’s Geithner is Asia-Bound
The U.S. Department of the Treasury on Wednesday announced that Secretary Tim Geithner will meet with senior government officials in China and Japan next week.
The Treasury Department says the focus of the meetings will be on the state of the global economy. The trips appear to be in keeping with the Obama administration’s stated goal of pivoting its foreign-policy focus toward the Asia-Pacific region.
