UH Settles Data Breach Class Action

Free credit monitoring and fraud restoration will be offered to about 98,000 University of Hawaii students, faculty, alumni and employees, as part of a class action settlement announced today. The suit involved five data breaches between 2009 through 2011.

KITV reports:

The settlement will provide class action members with two years of credit monitoring and fraud restoration services. …

The breaches occurred at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, the University of Hawaii at West Oahu, Kapiolani Community College and Honolulu Community College.
