United Public Workers Local 646 today announced its endorsement of former Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Hannemann has been racking up labor support. UPW represents 13,000 mostly blue-collar civil service workers across the state.
UPW State Director Dayton Nakanelua stated, “Mufi and I have worked closely together since our days as Cabinet officials in the Waihee Administration through the time he was Mayor and I dealt with him on collective bargaining agreements.”
