VIDEO: Snowy Owl Invasion
There’s been an unusual number of Snowy Owls flocking south from the Arctic recently, as the NYTimes reports.
One of majestic birds even made it to Hawaii — where it was shot at the airport.
Here’s a nice video on the owls produced by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, which speculates that the birds are being driven south due to competition for food.
