Mark your calendars. Work on the new annual city budget will begin next month. March 12, to be precise.

The week-long schedule of briefings is laid out in a memo from Honolulu City Council Budget Chair Ann Kobayashi to the Carlisle administration last week. Here’s the gist of it:

Monday March 12 — Mayor’s Office; Budget and Fiscal Services; Liquor Commission; Community Services; Corporation Counsel; Royal Hawaiian Band; Customer Services

Tuesday March 13 — Design and Construction; Emergency Management; Emergency Services; Enterprise Services; Environmental Services; Medical Examiner; Facility Maintenance

Wednesday March 14 — Fire Department; Human Resources; Information Technology; Parks and Recreation; Police Department; Planning and Permitting

Thursday March 15 — Transportation Services; Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation; Prosecuting Attorney; Legislative Branch
