Last year, lawmakers said bullying laws that deal only with schools are too narrow, since it’s a problem that affects people of all ages and in every environment (and we all know that kids learn to bully from the adults in their lives).

This year, lawmakers decided to do something about that. Senate Bill 2487 proposes classifying bullying, abuse and verbal harassment in the workplace as a workplace and health safety violation. The Ways and Means Committee will vote today on whether to send the bill to the Senate floor for a vote.
