Biking, as opposed to driving, is better for the environment, better for traffic and better for the rider’s health, assuming they do it safely. Now, the city is considering giving you a price break to ride your bike to TheBus.
Adults pay $2.50 for a single ride on TheBus. A new bill introduced Tuesday would charge adults with a bicycle half price — $1.25.
The bill was introduced by Council Vice Chair Ikaika Anderson by request — presumably a bike-minded constituent. It would require that the bus rider place their bike (human-powered only) on the bus rack before boarding.
