Former Acting Mayor Kirk Caldwell will hold his first fundraiser since he announced his run to take the job back Tuesday evening at Hiroshi’s.

A filing with the Campaign Spending Commission shows that the $250-per-person fundraiser starts at 5 p.m.

Caldwell raised more than $72,000 in the last half of 2011, about $20,000 more than Mayor Peter Carlisle. But Carlisle had a major head start and still has $300,000 cash on hand.
