Yet Case provided a copy of the completed report to Civil Beat weeks ago. On Monday, he sent DC808 a copy of the receipt that shows the Jan. 31 postmark:

It’s a good thing Case has that receipt: On Feb. 16, the FEC sent Case a “failure to file” warning, instructing him to file the report “immediately.” Case said that he has since cleared things up with the FEC — which he says received his report on time but processed it incorrectly.
Still, a staffer in the FEC information office told DC808 on Monday that there’s no record of the report: “I don’t have any indication that it’s here… Nobody knows where it is.”
