Sen. Clayton Hee plans to call former Govs. John Waihee and Ben Cayetano as witnesses when the Land Use Commission continues its hearing on a controversial development project tomorrow.

I support the concept of a ‘second city,’ but that doesn’t mean that you have to develop every inch of it. In this particular case, we’re talking about a big, big parcel. It’s huge. The livability of any place depends in large part on what is on the ground. And if it’s all concrete, we’re going to have some problems.
