Also at UHPA’s faculty forum over the weekend was former governor and current mayoral candidate Ben Cayetano, who sought the union’s endorsement on the grounds that his anti-rail policies are in the interests of public employees.

It’s a bold request coming from a former governor who had, at best, a rocky relationship with the faculty union.

About 90 of the 120 faculty representatives were present for the forum, executive director J.N. Musto told Civil Beat’s Mike Levine.
