Companion House and Senate proposals to transform Hawaii’s charter school system are making their way through the Legislature with little to no opposition so far.

Yesterday, the House Education and Labor committees passed HB 2010 unamended, about the same time the Senate Education Committee passed its Senate companion bill with amendments. The same committees approved the accompanying transition plan bills that would get us from the existing charter school system to the new and (hopefully) improved one.
