Just a reminder: We’re out in Kapolei next week for the full Honolulu City Council meeting on Wednesday.

The agenda was posted yesterday evening and became available online overnight.

Expect a major fight over the Waianae Sustainable Communities Plan, which as of this moment still includes the controversial “purple spot” of light industrial zoning in Lualualei Valley. Next week is the last vote.

Also on the docket is the bill that would outlaw commercial activities at a pair of Windward Oahu beach parks. Kapolei’s a long drive from Kailua, but some will make the trip to testify.

The resolution that would ask citizens to move the Board of Water Supply back under city control is up for first reading. As is the plastic bag ban introduced by Chair Ernie Martin Thursday.

Should be a fun meeting.
