Two Senate committees, meantime, will meet Friday at 2:45 p.m. in Conference Room 224 to decide the fate of the Senate companion. Lawmakers have already indicated the state’s proposal may be amended; both measures must go through two more committees as well.
At a Senate hearing Monday on the measure, Gov. Neil Abercrombie — who strongly supports the deal — said OHA trustees could decide as early as this week whether to endorse the measures.
