This is one of those stories that made me shake my head, but really, what’s so very wrong with a father teaching his daughter not to abuse Facebook by shooting her laptop?

He makes a few good points in the article:

• Don’t try to outsmart a father who specializes in IT (I tried that once, too — and failed). Interesting that it was the family dog caused the girl’s downfall.
• He’s not going to let his daughter bask in the media limelight for her actions.
• Just because the use of a gun was a dramatic gesture doesn’t necessarily make it any more inappropriate than confiscating it some other way. Right?
