Fast Tracking Geothermal?

A bill being introduced in the House by Rep. Denny Coffman could speed up the exploration of geothermal resources on the Big Island and Maui. 

A hearing is set for House Bill 2690 on Thursday at 9:30 at the State Capitol – conference room 325.  

The bill would, in part, exclude geothermal exploration from an EIS or an environmental assessment.
